Medlio is a free tool that allows you to promote your Organization (as well as your Care Locations and Providers) across Medlio in-app and online searches.
With a Medlio account, you can interact more efficiently with your patients and welcome new patients looking for a provider like you.
Through your Medlio Profile, your patients can securely access their medical records (qualifying your organization for MU3, MIPS, MACRA, 21st Century Cures Act, and other patient engagement and patient data blocking rules), fill out and submit their medical forms to you, schedule appointments, message, and pay directly from Medlio.
Your free Medlio Profile helps you and your organization show up when it matters most: the moment patients are searching for the services you offer. Log in to your Medlio account to update your address, phone number, open hours, services offered, insurances accepted and more to help patients find and connect with your organization.
1. Search for your profile by your first and last name in our directory.
2. Click on the “Claim Profile” link.
3. Choose your verification method.
4. We’ll send you a confirmation message that includes a verification code.
5. Enter your code.
6. Create your password, and you’re all set!
Good question! Verification allows us to confirm that you are an authorized owner of the Profile(s), so that you have permission to manage your Medlio account. Your security is important to us and we don’t want anyone else but you making updates to your Medlio Profile(s).
To make changes to your claimed profile:
1. Log in to the Medlio Dashboard.
2. Select which profile you’d like to edit - My Organization, My Locations or My Providers (note: For Individual accounts, you can only edit your own provider profile).
3. Select any of the categories from the upper tab menu.
4. Edit or delete any of the data fields you want to modify, and make sure to hit the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen.
5. Your changes should take effect immediately.
Keep in mind you may need to refresh your browser to see the changes to your profile.

Information that’s extra important to include:
Services you offer. This is the most common patient search conducted. Make sure you are getting found for your specialty and the services you perform routinely.
Insurances you accept. This is where patients typically begin their search. If you keep this information updated you can also avoid the dreaded payer phone calls every month and just refer them directly to your Medlio profile.
FHIR and API details from your EHR vendor. This ensures your patients can access their medical records on Medlio (qualifying you and your organization for MU3, MIPS, MACRA, 21st Century Cures Act, and other patient engagement and patient data blocking rules).
Pictures. People want to see the practice, the organization, the providers before they choose where to go.
Locations. including address, phone number, website. Make sure they can easily find and reach you.
Providers. Add training, education, and professional achievements.
Office hours. And more.
Yes, absolutely! That’s the idea. An Organization should ideally claim all of their Care Location Profiles and all of their Provider Profiles. This ensures that your organization’s patients can connect with you however they are searching: by organization, by location, or by provider.
Care Location and Provider Profiles are particularly important for prospective patient searches. Patients want to find a provider they like, in a location convenient to them. And if your locations and providers are not showing up, you will miss those new patients.
We do not remove profiles from our site. The information in a Provider Profile is pulled from public records and is publicly available information. If you are concerned that public information we share on our website is incorrect, please let us know and we will do our best to update it. You might also want to check your NPI listing to ensure that the information in your public record is up-to-date.
If you haven’t yet, you can also claim your Medlio profile and update information like your address, phone number, services offered, insurances accepted, training and work experience, and professional achievements.
If you do not want a profile to be displayed, you can claim your account and check the “Keep private” box and your information will not be viewable.
